China Live Hog Weekly: Market retreats with lacklustre sales during holiday (week ended Sep 30, 2013)
Pig release increased slightly over the past week, while sales of pork during the holiday period slowed. As a result, hog prices were pushed down in most regions of China. Sales of pork carcass at major wholesale centres fell to 8,674 tonnes, a drop of 1.21% from previous week.
