China cuts forecast for 2006 soybean output
 

 

China National Grain and Oils Information Centre said Tuesday (Oct 10) that it is cutting its forecast of soybean output for 2006 to 15.5 million tonnes from its September forecast of 15.9 million tonnes.

 

The government-backed think tank maintained its forecast for the output of corn, wheat, rice and rapeseed this year.

 

CNGOIC also said in its monthly forecast that total grain output in 2006 would rise for the third consecutive year to top 490 million tonnes.
