Russia relists two US poultry plants

Russia has relisted a Tyson Foods poultry plant and a House of Raeford poultry plant, allowing the two facilities to export poultry to the federation again, according to the USDA.

Tyson's relisted plant is located at Cumming, Georgia, while the House of Raeford's plant is located in Raeford, North Carolina.

Poultry produced on or after September 30 from these two plants will be eligible for export.

Russia banned the Tyson plant in March after detecting a drug residue in its imported poultry. The House of Raeford plant was one of the 19 US poultry complexes banned by Russia in August 2008 following an inspection that discovered general violations of Russian standards.
