Finland to store grains in Estonia

Finland is looking to ship some of its grain crop into Estonia for storage, according to Finnish daily Turun Sanomat.

Finland's storage facilities are seen as incapable of holding all domestic grain. As a result, about 200,000 tonnes of grain are planned to be sent to Estonia for storage.

The amounts of grain have increased due to poor market conditions and two consecutive good crops.

The shipment will start once the European Commission approves the plan, as the grain belongs to the EU that has been making intervention purchases.
