Emmi to sell Trentinalatte to LIVIA Group

Emmi is selling Italy-based yogurt manufacturer TrentinalatteS.p.A. to the LIVIA Group based in Munich and Vienna.

In July 2006, Emmi took over TrentinalatteS.p.A.in a bid to build a strong base in the Italian yoghurt business.

The sale of Trentinalattehas become necessary, however,because of the difficult economic situation in Italy. All options for Trentinalatte's future, including potential buyers, have been considered carefully.

The LIVIA Group will take all employees of Trentinalatte in Roverèdella Luna, Italy.

The sale will become finalonce approved bythe local authorities in Italy.

The LIVIA Group is an industrial holding company with a wide range of investment interests including companies, real estate, art and agriculture.

The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
