Ukraine's August grain imports rise 54.6% on-year
Ukrainian grain imports fell in August by 54.6% or 5,180 tonnes to 4,300 tonnes for US$2.76 million, as compared with August 2009.
Grain imports went down by 47% or 3,810 tonnes in August, compared with July.
In January-August 2010, compared with January-August 2009, grain imports increased by 19.6% or 13,360 tonnes and made up 81,410 tonnes for US$116.98 million.
In July 2010, grain imports rose by 32.3% or 1,980 tonnes, compared with July 2009, to 8,110 tonnes for US$2.13 million.
In 2009, grain imports fell by 16.6% or 19,080 tonnes to 96,080 tonnes for US$98.53 million, compared with 2008.
