Zhucheng Xingmao's corn processing plants in Inner Mongolia start work
With a total investment of RMB1.2 billion, Shandong Zhucheng Xingmao Corn Development Co Ltd started construction on three processing projects in Inner Mongolia's Kailu county, which are set to produce 100,000 tonnes of crystalline glucose, 100,000 tonnes of malt dextrin and 100,000 tonnes of citric acid annually.
Heilongjiang's Heihe opens largest integrated dairy base
Heihe Zhongxing Livestock Co Ltd started running its integrated dairy base in Heilongjiang's Heihe, the largest in the city which incorporates cattle farming and dairy processing operations. Its dairy cattle inventory is expected to reach 4,000 head by end of 2012 and expand to 60,000 by end of 2015.
Wens Group inks 1.5-million-head hog operations in Liaoning, China
With a combined investment of RMB4.4-5.3 billion, Wens Group agreed to set up three hog rearing subsidiaries and a 10-million-head breeder hog base in Liaoning's Chaoyang city.
Once fully operational, the facilities are expected to yield 1.5 million hogs and process over one million hogs annually, in addition to storage and processing capacity of one million tonnes of corn each year.
Daxiang Group's integrated broiler operation breaks ground in Shanxi
Daxiang Farming Group started building a RMB405-million integrated broiler operation in Shanxi's Qinshui county.
Once completed, it is capable of producing 42 million breeder eggs, 40 million commercial chicks and 200,000 tonnes of formulated feed each year. This will translate to an annual capacity of 40-60 million broilers and 62,626 tonnes of chicken meat, bringing in RMB2.5 billion in estimated annual output values.
China's largest goat milk processing plant starts trial production
Fuping, Shaanxi-based Hongxing Dairy Co Ltd recently started trial production of its RMB168-million goat milk processing plant.
The facility, which produces 600 tonnes of fresh milk daily, is also equipped with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes of liquid milk, 20,000 tonnes of goat milk powder and 2,000 tonnes of goat cheese, making it the largest goat milk production plant in China.
COFCO builds south China's largest edible oil base in Hunan's Loudi
Hongguan Group signed an agreement with COFCO Co Ltd on the latter's packaged edible oil production base in Hunan's Loudi, as it set to gradually take over all of COFCO's medium- and small-packaged cooking oil operations in southern China.
The RMB1-billion Loudi base, which is capable of producing 360,000 tonnes of packaged edible oil annually worth some RMB3.6 billion, is the largest in southern China.
