Most major vitamin A producers had returned to operations after month-long maintenance shutdowns. Output recovery, along with tepid buying interest pressured vitamin A prices over the month.

Transacted prices of imported vitamin A slid to RMB168-172/kg while those of locally produced vitamin A moved slightly lower to around RMB165-169/kg.

General market prices of imported vitamin "A1000" by a foreign producer remained flat in the range of RMB310-318/kg.

Vitamin A market should remain on weak trends in October amid bearish fundamentals.
