Bakkafrost's CFO quits
Faroe Islands' largest salmon farmer, Bakkafrost, has announced the resignation of its chief finance officerTeitur Samuelsen.
A news release from the company said Mr. Samuelsen has decided "to pursue a new job opportunity."
Mr. Samuelsen had been with Bakkafrost since late 2009, nearly a year beforethe company got listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in March 2010.
Bakkafrost said it has accepted Samuelsen's decision with regret and "will promptly start the process of recruiting his replacement."
Mr. Samuelsen has promised toassist the company until a new CFO is hired "to ensure a smooth transition."
The salmon-farming company, the biggest in the Faroe Islands, is fully integrated from feed production to smolt, farming, VAP and sales.
It has a plant in Faroe Islands' Fuglefjord village that produces fish meal, fish oil and salmon feed.
