Pakistan likely to increase wheat price

Pakistan's state-fixed price for wheat for 2009-10 is likely to be increased by PKR10 (US$0.12) to PKR960 (US$11.5) per 40 kilogrammes, the Dawn newspaper reported on its Web site Tuesday, citing sources in the finance ministry. 

The Pakistan cabinet's Economic Coordination Committee is also expected to approve the wheat support policy for 2009-10 at its meeting Tuesday.
