Indonesia reports seventh human death from bird flu

Indonesia has reported a seventh human death due to bird flu. A 23-year-old man, Slamet Wibowo, died on September 29 in Jakarta's Sulianto Saroso Hospital, a hospital spokesman said.

The victim was treated at the intensive care unit for pneumonia, high fever and respiratory problems, which were typical symptoms of bird flu.  

Reports said further laboratory blood tests of Slamet turned up positive of the disease.

Currently, the hospital has 21 patients suspected with bird flu.
