Net sales for US beef export net sales return with a rise of 6000 tonnes after a three weeks decline.
With sales totaling 15,794 tonnes, last week's total remains nearly a thousand tonnes below the 27-week average. Last week's increased sales move the four-week average 14% higher than the previous average. Sales increases were reported for Mexico, Japan, Russia, Canada and South Korea.
Beef export shipments remain fairly steady, increasing by 67 tonnes to 17,142 tonnes. Shipments have improved for three consecutive weeks and posted only small increases in the past two weeks. With last week's increases, shipments remain above the 27-week average and only 1,476 tonnes below the 27-week high. Shipment increases were primarily to Mexico, receiving 3,100 tonnes. Japan, Canada and South Korea each received 2,300 tonnes and Russia received 1,600 tonnes.
