Zhejiang Xinfu is the world's largest calcium pantothenate producer

Xinfu Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd and Jiangnan University have jointly developed a microbiological method for manufacturing d-panthenol and d-calcium pantothenate. The company, located in Lin'an county of China's Zhejiang province, has thus set a national record in terms of method used and scale of production. With this development, the company has also become a leading international player in this field. The product was placed in second position at China's National Technological Inventions Award. Zhejiang Xinfu's annual d-calcium pantothenate production capacity has jumped from 150 tonnes to 5000 tonnes with the implementation of this production method. The company has captured 40 percent of the world's market share for such product. Zhejiang Xinfu has become the world's largest production base for calcium pantothenate.
