Russia's August poultry output rise 7.2% on-year

The poultry output of Russia amounted to 213,000 tonnes in August, 7.2% more than in the same month of the previous year, the federal statistics service reported Friday (Oct 1).

The service also said that Russian poultry output in August was 0.5% less as compared with July this year.

Without giving output figures, the statistics service said poultry output in January-August increased by 16.3% compared with the first eight months of 2009.
