China's fishmeal imports surge in August
China's fishmeal imports in August increased 40.87% to 212,669 tonnes, up 61,700 tonnes from July.
Peru (165,627 tonnes), the US (17,218 tonnes) and Chile (16,832 tonnes) were the main exporters of fishmeal to China during August.
China's fishmeal imports for the period of January-August 2011 totalled 830,384 tonnes.
