Weak trend prevails in China vitamin C market

Prices of vitamin C were unchanged during the week ended September 30.

With vitamin C supplies abundant and aquaculture production scaling down due to falling weather temperatures, feed millers were not eager to stock high inventories before the long holidays.

Prices of feed- and food-grade vitamin C were mainly at RMB24/kg.

The vitamin C market will continue to stay weak amid excess supplies and lacklustre demand.
