Hog supplies increased while the government released pork reserves over the week. Hence, prices of hog weakened for the first time in two months even though demand was robust. Pork carcass sales in major wholesale centres rose by 2.06% to 10,058 tonnes while prices inched down 0.05% to RMB20.51/kg.
