DSM facility in Switzerland gains FAMI-QS certification

DSM's production site in Gland (Switzerland), where CRINA® products are manufactured according to a patented procedure, was officially FAMI-QS certified.

CRINA®  products are specific blends of essential oil compounds, marketed under the trademark CRINA®.

The process was initiated to adapt the prevailing GMP+ certification to the FAMI-QS-certification, after DSM Nutritional Products acquired the CRINA® business from Intervet International in 2006.

Most of DSM Nutritional Products production and premix sites are already certified by FAMI-QS (European Feed Additives and Premixtures Quality Systems).

It was back in 1980 that CRINA® first recognised the huge potential role that essential oils could play as digestive stimulants in livestock husbandry.  Since then, it has concentrated its efforts on the development and production of a range of precisely formulated and consistent blends of essential oil compounds, mainly for poultry, cattle and swine supported by a comprehensive in-vitro and in-vivo research program.

The first CRINA® products were launched in Switzerland in 1985.  They are now sold across Europe and in other regions of the world. CRINA® products are part of the Eubiotic product portfolio of DSM Nutritional Products.
