China exports more lysine in August
China's lysine exports in August totalled 14,854.5 tonnes, up by over 2,700 tonnes from July.
For the period from January to August 2006, China's lysine exports totalled 82,325 tonnes worth about US$73.44 million.
Lysine exports from China to European, North American and South-east Asian countries rose in August.
In particular, shipments to Dutch ports totalled 3,336 tonnes, while exports to Belgium, Poland and Germany were also high.
Lysine exports to the US were about 1,585 tonnes, up about 600 tonnes from July.
Total shipments to South-east Asian countries exceeded 2,800 tonnes.
