China lysine imports unchanged in August
China imported 1,211 tonnes of lysine in August, almost unchanged from July.
For the period from January to August 2006, China's lysine imports totalled 16,701 tonnes worth about US$20.25 million.
In particular, imports from Thailand totalled 706 tonnes in August. China imported 300 tonnes of lysine from the US, unchanged from the previous month. Imports from South Korea fell slightly by 100 tonnes from July to 205 tonnes.
