Brazil September Soybean Exports Down 46.0%
Brazil's September soybean exports totalled 2.179 million metric tons, down 46.0% on the 3.848 million tons sent the same month one year ago, according to provisional figures released by the government's Foreign Trade Secretariat, or Secex, on Wednesday.
September shipments fell 12% compared with August, when 2.475 million tons were shipped.
Soymeal exports totalled 1.631 million tons in September, down 33.4% from 2.337 million tons the same month one year before. Brazilian meal exports rose 7.8% compared with 1.513 million tons sent abroad in August.
September soyoil exports totalled 179,100 tons, 63.2% lower than the 462,299 tons sent abroad last year and 25.5% down from 240,300 tons shipped in August.
