In January-August 2013, Georgia's cattle exports to Azerbaijan reached around 12,100 tonnes in live weight worth US$30.94 million, the National Statistical Service of Georgia (Gruzstat) reported.

The share of this category of goods in a total volume of the Georgian exports to Azerbaijan amounted to 6.61% in the reporting period.

Georgia's cattle export increased by 25.18%, in quantitative terms by 68.16%, or 4,900 tonnes compared to the same period of 2012. For comparison, in January-August 2012, 7,190 tonnes of cattle in live weight in the amount of US$24.72 million was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan.

In January to August 2013, goods worth US$468.04 million were exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan, or 26.6% of the total volume of the country's exports during the period.

Exports to Azerbaijan rose by 16.97% compared to the same period of 2012, while Georgian goods worth US$400.13 million were exported to Azerbaijan.
