Alltech organic selenium additive approved for US market
The Organic Materials Review Institute has approved Alltech's Sel-Plex 2000 - an organic selenium product - for use in organic feeding programmes in the US.
Sel-Plex 2000 is used in animal diets, including pigs and poultry.
Steve Traylor, global director of regulatory affairs, said the product is well-researched and has gone through the proper channels and declared safe for sale.
The solution can be incorporated in a variety of feeding programmes, he added.
