AKVA Group has successfully concluded the sales of its 100-percent owned subsidiary Surefish Inc. to NSF International as of September 30, 2009.

Seattle-based Surefish is a company that performs independent seafood quality inspections, training and auditing.

In the third quarter of 2009, AKVA will gain about NOK14 million (US$2.4 million) related to the transaction.

The sale of Surefish is a part of AKVA's ongoing efforts to focus the business on core activities.
