China methionine prices hit new highs amid persisting supply crunch
Prices of methionine rose sharply during the week ending September 29.
As traders continued to hike prices while stocks dwindled, trade was light as feed millers turned prudent with prices breaking 2008's record.
In August, China imported 12,985 tonnes of methionine, higher by 68% on-month.
Prices of methionine are expected to stay strong during October.
