US's Minnesota culls cattle amid bovine tuberculosis outbreak
Local authorities have culled a cattle herd in Roseau county, northern Minnesota State, in a bid to contain an outbreak of bovine tuberculosis (TB) there.
18 herds within the state were also quarantined and would be tested for possible TB infection.
Local authorities said it was not yet confirmed where the disease originated from. Suspected sources were cattle from other states or the whitetail deer.
During this autumn, local authorities would test for the disease in about 500 deer killed by hunters.
