Norel opens piglet research facility

Norel has opened a new piglet facility in its research station in León, Spain.
This state of the art building can allocate up to 120 piglets in 24 pens, a three-fold increase of the previous capacity of the farm, and increases the potential to run more
detailed trials, with three times the number of replicates. The new building is designed to evaluate the effects that different diets may have on the piglet's manure.
With more replicates, the investigations can now better answer specific questions on how the different additives and raw materials affect the gastrointestinal tract environment, microbial population, and diet digestibility.
