Prices of Vitamin B12 Products in China Stable Of Late

Prices of vitamin B12 products in China remained generally stable of late.

Current offer prices from traders of locally produced high performance liquid vitamin B12 (1%) hover at RMB340/kg. Offer prices of locally produced vitamin B12 (0.6%) are at the RMB190/kg level, while those of vitamin B12 (0.8%) stand at RMB240/kg. Transacted prices varied across the country.

Producers mostly concluded deals of vitamin B12 products at RMB10/kg lower than traders' offer prices. Actual transacted prices of locally produced high performance liquid vitamin B12 (1%) are at RMB330/kg, vitamin B12 (0.6%) at RMB180/kg, and vitamin B12 (0.8%) at RMB230/kg.

Export prices of China's locally produced high performance liquid vitamin B12 (1%) by producers remain at US$35/kg, while those of vitamin B12 (0.6%) continue to range between US$19-20/kg.

Among the ingredients for the production of vitamin B12, corn serves as a good carrier. In China, corn accounts for more than 60% of the total production ingredients of vitamin B12. With new harvested corn gradually entering the Chinese market in recent period, producers are now keeping an eye on corn price movements.
