Through this partnership, CJ Vina and Blue Aqua International aim to develop the shrimp farming industry to improve production yield, improve product quality and lower cost.

Specifically, the programme targets food safety through the elimination of antibiotics and dangerous chemical, applying standard farming procedure, environmental friendly practices, full traceability and reduction of pollutants. It was designed after two years of observation to satisfy the aquaculture industry, from the perspective of both the market and the producers.

He adds" Our collaboration will gear towards the implementation of techniques to improve seed quality, water quality and pond environment, and biosecurity practices while CJ would contribute its new concept of feed formulation and feeding management. Our technology would enable Vietnamese farmers to profitably and sustainably produce high quality fish and shrimp free from antibiotics and harmful chemicals."

The Only One programme provides 24/7 technical support; the best practices in farming protocol; performance feed; full traceability and food safety products; and an environmental friendly programme.

As part of the launch, farm visits were arranged so that participants could have an introduction to the latest applicable shrimp farming programme. Some Vietnamese key farmers were invited to visit Lampung, Indonesia to see the shrimp programme in four farms, as well as engage in open discussion and technical training during 6- 9 September. The programme has been running for three years, or 5 to 6 cycles in Lampung. Discussion and presentation of 'How to prevent EMS in Indonesia' took place over the welcome dinner.
