Fast harvest creates temporary feed crop market imbalances in the Americas
Instead of selling hundreds of thousands or millions of tonnes, the third week of September saw America export a piddling 368 tonnes of corn. In the last week of September 2011, it exported 790,000 tonnes of corn. With Brazil undercutting US corn, CBOT futures crashed to US$7.15/bushel, some 15% below its recent highs.
