CEVA builds new poultry vaccine plant

CEVA Santé Animale is investing US$15 million in a new world-class poultry vaccine production plant for its subsidiary CEVA Biomune in Kansas.

The new 53,000-square-foot, two-storey poultry vaccine facility is planned to be operational in the third quarter of 2010.

CEVA's production capacity will be increased in the US to be able to meet increased demand by poultry producers, with the new facility expected to multiply production of Marek's vaccines more than five times, and almost double the amount of eggs used for vaccine production per week.

In Europe, CEVA has a new vaccine plant operational this October. The facilities are part of the US$100 million CEVA has committed to investing through 2012.

CEVA SANTE ANIMALE is a veterinary pharmaceutical laboratory which encompasses all the aspects of the animal health business from products' development through to their sales worldwide. The company has 44 sales operations worldwide.
