Taiwan to purchase more US corn, soy

Taiwan officials have signed a pact to continue purchasing corn and soy from the US state of Indiana.

Members of the Taiwanese trade delegation signed the agreement Friday (Sep 25) at a ceremony hosted by the state's lieutenant governor, Becky Skillman.

The Indiana agreement is part of a larger deal that Taiwan officials signed Thursday (Sep 24) in Washington, pledging to buy US$3.5 billion in US agricultural products over the next two years.
