Philippine hog weekly: "Pork barrel" issues continue to pull down farmgate hog prices (September 24, 2013)
In what was supposed to be the onset of price jumps because of the expected fourth quarter surge, prices of farmgate hogs in most areas were in slump. Davao and Mindoro posted the biggest decline at PHP6 a kilo followed by Koronadal at PHP5.50 per kilo.
