Canadian Bio-Systems increases availability of feed enhancer for US and Canada

 

Canadian Bio-Systems Inc, a company which manufactures products for feed and food applications, has expanded the availability of its feed enhancer, NutraMix, for the Canadian and US markets during 2014 and 2015.

The product helps support safe and high-quality feed as well as delivering benefits for livestock. It is available for use with both monogastric and ruminant livestock, including pigs, poultry, beef and dairy cattle.

"It's a unique product in the marketplace, backed by leading science that fits well with the demands of today's livestock industries", said Mark Peters, the manager of sales and marketing for Canadian Bio-Systems (CBS). "We see growing demand for this type of product that offers peace of mind to feed mills, producers, nutritionists and others in industry, as a tool to help safeguard feed and reduce threats to livestock performance."

According to Rob Patterson, the company's technical service manager, Nutramix is a response against grain diseases and other potential sources of contaminants which saw increased occurrences yearly.

One key component of the NutraMix system is MycoCheck, a custom feed analysis tool available to customers. "MycoCheck allows us to get an accurate and sophisticated picture of feed quality, from which we can pinpoint the best recommended use of NutraMix," said Peters. "The customer sends us a sample, we run the analysis, and get back quickly with suggested options. MycoCheck provides clear information to support the customer's management decisions."

NutraMix includes a combination of absorbents, yeast polysaccharides and vitamins, carefully formulated to maximise the complementary activities of these ingredients.
