Russia intends to put up vaccine factory in Zambia
Russia has disclosed that it plans to set up a factory that will produce livestock vaccines in Zambia.
Russian ambassador to Zambia Boris Malakhov has told QFM News that Russia is aware of the challenges that Zambia is facing in the livestock industry adding that setting up a factory would enable farmers in the country have access to cheaper livestock vaccines.
The diplomat adds that this will help boost the livestock industry in the country which has the potential to contribute to economic growth as well as food security.
Ambassador Malakhov further disclosed that the Russian government intends to forge closer cooperation with Zambia government in the education and energy sectors.
