UK's AB Agri looks at Poland for market potentials

British animal nutrition specialist AB Agri has identified Poland as one of the largest markets for animal feeds in Europe.

With help of the UK Overseas Market Introduction Service programme (OMIS), the company has found an extensive list of potential distributors in Poland. Broad research was carried out to shorten the list and these were examined through visits with the potential partners. The final list will be announced this week.

Chief executive David Yiend has determined that, from its base in the UK, AB Agri should expand in international markets, one of the initial steps towards this plan is focusing on markets in central and eastern Europe.

AB Agri (Associated British Agriculture) is the agriculture group of Associated British Foods plc -- one of the largest suppliers of animal feeds and services in the United Kingdom.
