Price hikes slow in China lysine market

Lysine were stable to higher during the week ending September 23.

Lysine supply stayed tight in China, helping prices to consolidate higher during the period in review. Nevertheless, as hog prices weakened of late while lysine remained costly, feed millers limited purchases, resulting in slower price increments.

Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB9.60-10.50/kg.

Lysine market will remain firm with supply tight and livestock feed demand strong before October's long holidays.

RMB1=US$0.1630 (Sep 24)
