India team to travel to US for Export Exchange 2012
 

 

Top level officials from several of India's largest agribusinesses will travel to Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA in October for Export Exchange 2012.      

 

The US Grains Council (USGC) said on September 20 that India will make connections with potential US suppliers and learn more about the nutritional advantages US coarse grains and distiller's dried grains with solubles (DDGS). The trade team will also see how US food production from start to finish, by visiting farming operations, food distributors, and some state check-off offices.

 

The Indian trade team includes representatives from Suguna Foods Limited, India's largest poultry producer and largest consumer of corn; SKM Animal Feeds and Foods Limited; and Godrej Agrovevt Limited.

 

Participants are looking to better understand the US coarse grains market, productivity consumption patterns, various uses for corn, and to source DDGS for their respective operations.

 

The Indian delegation will be part of nearly 200 international buyers of coarse grains and co-products and domestic agribusiness representatives and industry experts attending Export Exchange 2012.
