InVivo, a leading French agricultural cooperative group, has announced the creation of a new company called InVivo NSA (Nutrition et Santé Animales), combining the businesses of the Animal Nutrition and Health division of InVivo and Evialis, two firms with more than 50 years' experience in animal nutrition.
InVivo NSA will be operational starting January 1, 2010. The new company is formed two years after InVivo's takeover of Evialis, its acquisition of all Evialis shares and Evialis' withdrawal from the stock market last June.
InVivo NSA's Chief Executive is Thierry Van Vynckt and its Chairman is Patrice Gollier. With a turnover of some EUR1.4 billion and 5,000 employees worldwide, the company is focused on three main areas of animal nutrition - Compound Feeds, Premix and Specialties, and Health and Hygiene, which account for 66 percent, 24 percent and 10 percent of turnover respectively.
InVivo NSA is pursuing a long-term business vision, and will move increasingly into the international arena in search of growth.
''We are going to develop our three business lines, through organic and external growth. And we are aiming to become a world leader in premix and specialties,'' said Van Vynckt.
Each of the entities and subsidiaries within InVivo NSA will retain their own brand identity. The identity of InVivo NSA will be expressed essentially at a corporate level.
InVivo NSA also has huge ambitions and the assets to be quickly established alongside the global market leaders in the Premix and Specialties business.
InVivo NSA is carefully pursuing its international development, and the company will start by consolidating its recent acquisitions including Malta Cleyton in Mexico and Cargill Nutrition Animal Ltd. in Brazil, said Gollier.
InVivo, a leading French agricultural cooperative group, is a union of agricultural cooperatives active in four sectors: seeds and agricultural supplies; animal nutrition and health (InVivo NSA); grain storage and international trading; and green distribution (Gamm vert).
