Russia Reduces Poultry Import Ban On Finland

The Russian Federal Veterinarian and Phitosanitary Control Service has reduced the ban on poultry imports from Finland to only one administrative district, Satakunta in Western Finland, said the Agriculture Ministry press service.

Poultry imports from Western Finland province were banned on July 23 because of an outbreak of Newcastle disease. Now that the Newcastle disease situation has stabilized, the ban has been cancelled for all districts but Satakunta, the press service said.

Russia banned the import of chickens, poultry, incubator eggs and other kinds of poultry products that are not subjected to thermal treatment, as well as chicken fodder.
