Russia meat output up 2.3 percent on-year in Jan-Aug
Russia's meat production rose 2.3 percent on-year in January to August, according to the Federal State Statistics Service.
During the period, pork output rose 18 percent on-year, poultry output rose 12.4 percent, and beef output fell 13.3 percent.
In 2008, Russia's meat output rose 5.5 percent on-year, the statistics service said earlier.
