Brazilian pork exports up 8.22 percent in August 2005
 

 

Brazilian pork exports rose 8.22 percent to 64,512 tonnes in August 2005, compared with 59,611 tonnes during the same period the previous year, the Brazilian Pork Packaging and Export Association (Abipecs) said.

 

The corresponding export value in August this year was US$117.356 billion, up 26.95 percent compared with US$92.445 billion during the same period in 2004.

 

Meanwhile, Argentina, Hong Kong and Russia were among the top export destinations for Brazilian pork from January to August this year.
