12th International Agribusiness Exhibition and Seminars (AGRILINK 2005)

In this era of globalisation, competitiveness is a prerequisite to enter and survive the fierce battle being waged in the world market. In the global food and agriculture arena, the Philippines significantly lagged behind its counterparts as the country remained uncompetitive in the liberalised trade. This dismal performance would be the main focus of the 12th International Agribusiness Exhibition and Seminars (AGRILINK 2005) and the 6th International Food Processing/Packaging and Food Products (FOODLINK 2005). With the theme, "Efficient Supply Chain: Key to Competitiveness", the show-which would take place on October 6-8, 2005 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City, Philippines-would showcase the linkages and clusters in crops, products, transport and logistics to boost production efficiency and increase the aggressiveness of our local products in the global commerce. These twin events were also expected to create a venue for a dynamic industry-wide interaction and discussion between local and foreign trade players to address the vital issues that affected the efficiency of other industries concerned, thus boosting the potentials of countries that were reeling from the hostile effects of trade liberalisation.

270 booths by 170 participating exhibitors from both the Philippines and overseas would present a grandiose display including the following:

    • Horticulture

    • Livestock and poultry breeds

    • Seeds and inputs

    • Feedgrain, feed storage, handling and transport
