China's Lysine Imports Up 1,778 MT and Exports Down 625MT in August
Import
According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported 8,397 metric tons of lysine in August 2004, up by 1,778 metric tons from July.
China's accumulative lysine imports from January to August amounted to 46,101 metric tons, down by 3,794 metric tons compared with the same period in 2003.
Major lysine exporters to China in the month of August are Indonesia, USA, South Korea and Thailand.
Export
China exported 831 metric tons of lysine in August 2004, down by 625 metric tons from July.
From January to August, China's accumulative lysine exports totaled 16,014metric tons, up by 168% compared with the export volume of 5,985 metric tons in the same period of 2003.
In August, China's lysine products were mainly exported to the Netherlands, USA, Brazil and the Philippines.
