Demands for sulphate additives improve slowly in China

Cupric sulphate

With hog inventories increasing the usage of cupric sulphate expanded, pushing up prices together with the pre-festive buying. Additionally, rising copper futures prices lent further support to cupric sulphate market.

China's cupric sulphate market should remain firm in the coming period with output costs on the rise and demand stable.

Zinc sulphate

Higher zinc futures prices and improving demand prompted zinc sulphate producers to stand firm on prices. Nonetheless, as producers were facing high inventory pressure, the upside momentum of the market was limited.

Zinc sulphate prices are seen stable to higher with producers gradually clearing excess inventories.

Manganese sulphate

Demand for manganese sulphate remained flat as cautious buyers limited procurements, holding prices unchanged during the period in review.

In anticipation of higher manganese ore prices and better demand, manganese sulphate producers are expected to stand firm in the coming period.

Ferrous sulphate

Ferrous sulphate prices stayed weak amid lacklustre demand. Most buyers limited inventories as feed consumption improved slowly while ferrous sulphate supplies were abundant.

Ample supplies and subdued demand will likely hold ferrous sulphate market soft in the near term.
