Pakistan's poultry prices remain high

The prices of commodities such as poultry have not been reduced in Pakistan even after the lapse of one week of Eidul Fitr.

On the other hand, the rate of one kg chicken was Rs145-Rs155 (US$1.69-$1.81). One poultry wholesaler said that there was difference in demand and supply of chicken and due to winter season approaching fast the situation is likely to persist and prices will remain high this year.

Special Price Magistrate Saeed Toor said that city district government has launched an operation against profiteers. Toor claimed that the prices of vegetables, fruits and chicken would come down soon.
