JBS to incorporate dairy company

JBS SA has announced plans to incorporate Fabrica de Produtos Alimenticios Vigor, of which JBS is the sole stockholder, into the company.

It said the merger will reduce costs of and simplify transactions between the two companies, and the plans, which have been improved by the managements of the two companies, will be presented to JBS stockholders September 30.

Vigor produces dairy products, and JBS became a major dairy producer in its acquisition of beef and dairy processor Bertin SA earlier this year.
