Thong Thuan Seafood Co. to build US$7-million shrimp plant

Authorities in the central province of Ninh Thuan have licensed Thong Thuan Seafood Co. Ltd to build a US$7-million shrimp processing plant in Thanh Hai IP in Phan Rang city, the VASEP said.

With a designed annual output of 8,000 tonnes, Thong Thuan Seafood's 33,000-sq-metre plant will be the largest of its kind in the central region.

Once operational in 2012, the plant is expected to export more than US$50 million worth of shrimp yearly.
