Pre-festive pork demand continued to rise, with pork carcass sales in major wholesale centres increasing 1% to 9,421 tonnes. Hog prices rose faster than the previous week amid higher demand and stable supplies. Climbing slowly but steadily, average hog price has increased by 7% over the past seven weeks.
