China vitamin C producers suffer heavy losses
Prices of vitamin C were stable during the week ended September 19.
After the recent price falls, vitamin market remained stable. Even though producers were eager to move sales, they could not do much with the current prices close to cost levels.
Prices of feed- and food-grade vitamin C were mainly at RMB24/kg.
Two major producers have reported suffering heavy losses during H1. Prices of vitamin C are expected to stay weak, but with limited scope to fall further.
